As promised, myself and Rachel returned to view the website together in order to give each page a final check and rectify any minor problems we encountered. We did notice a few things that could be positively altered but, as expected, these were minimal things that most wouldn't even notice. But we were being very thorough and strict as we have been through this entire process and decided to change them accordingly.
1. The first change was to enlarge the link to the album on the Home page. We are proud of the design work involved in the Digipak and might as well draw as much of the audiences attention to it as possible without detracting from the graphic design.
As you can see, we simply enlarged the two covers from the size they previously were. In addition to this, we also employed a setting which allows the viewer to enlarge the images to full screen and therefore see the covers in more detail.
2. The second change was grammatical and was simply to add an apostrophe to the word 'groups' in the biography. This may seem entirely insignificant but it is detail like this that separates mediocre products from that which could easily be seen as professional.
3. We also enlarged the font for the two links on the site entrance page. We felt these were slightly too understated and could be missed, so altered them from 18pt to 24pt.
4. We encountered a similar problem for the 'Home' button situated in the top left hand corner of all the websites pages. This was not obvious enough so was also boosted in font size.
5. Much like with the album covers, we once again employed a feature for our merchandise page that allowed the images of the t-shirts to be enlarged. This is more realistic to an actual website as a customer would want to be able to see a product in detail before purchasing it.
After completing these minor changes, I believe we have completely finished our website which can be found through the link below. The completion of the website also signifies the entire completion of our three products which is a significant achievement for me and Rachel as a group of only two, and something we continue to take pride in.
